Understanding Syringe Calculations
Basic Concepts
The calculator helps determine how many units to draw on your syringe to get your desired peptide dose. It takes into account:
• Reconstitution volume (water added)
• Amount of peptide (in mg)
• Syringe type (U-100, U-40, or custom)
• Desired dose (in mcg)
Step-by-Step Calculation
1. Calculate Solution Concentration
First, we determine how many micrograms (mcg) of peptide are in each milliliter (ml) of solution.
Example:
                  If you add 2ml of water to 5mg of peptide:
                  
                  5mg = 5000mcg 
                  Concentration = 5000mcg ÷ 2ml = 2500mcg/ml
                
2. Determine Units per Milliliter
Different syringes have different scales:
• U-100: 100 units = 1ml
• U-40: 40 units = 1ml
3. Calculate Units per Microgram
This tells us how many units correspond to 1mcg of peptide.
Example with U-100 syringe:
                  If concentration is 2500mcg/ml: 
                  1ml = 100 units 
                  1mcg = (100 units ÷ 2500mcg) = 0.04 units
                
4. Final Calculation
Multiply your desired dose by units per microgram.
Complete Example:
                  Given: 
                  • 5mg peptide in 2ml water 
                  • U-100 syringe 
                  • Desired dose: 250mcg 
                  Calculation: 
                  1. Concentration: 2500mcg/ml 
                  2. Units per mcg: 0.04 
                  3. Draw units: 250mcg × 0.04 = 10 units
